Whether she is singing the American songbook or Jobim, Sting or Billy Joel, Carol Welsman’s interpretations range from sultry and warm to infectiously energetic. Her vocals run the gamut from hauntingly reminiscent of Peggy Lee to swinging a la Ella, while her block chord piano/vocal etchings set her apart in today’s jazz world. She blends international rhythms and languages in a diverse and versatile repertoire, showcasing her ability to cross musical boundaries while remaining within the jazz idiom. Carol’s refreshing interpretations breathe new life into Jazz and Pop song classics.

Triple Forte brings together three of Canada's most prominent soloists.
Violinist Jasper Wood, cellist Yegor Dyachkov and pianist David Jalbert are now joining forces to create powerful musical evenings that will thrill aficionados and newcomers alike.
This sought after piano trio has been capturing critics' and audiences’ attention with their passion, intelligence and sensitivity, not to mention the sheer joy that they bring to the stage.
Separately, as soloists, these three stars have delighted audiences internationally for years; together, they now make up Canada's newest chamber music asset.
 


Meredith Hall & Bernard Farley

Internationally renowned soprano, Meredith Hall, delights audiences with her “lustrous sound and fluent legato” (San Francisco Chronicle). Her duo with guitarist Bernard Farley has been hailed in the press as “a partnership of astounding musicality” and “a match made in heaven” (The Record). Their intimate recital repertoire has taken them to concerts and festivals in Europe, North America and Japan. Early Music America raved: “Hall's warm, pure voice lovingly communicated the nuances of each song ...Farley is an excellent accompanist whose guitar etched a delicate filigree around Hall's jewel of a voice.”
 


Bernie Senensky & The Moe Koffman Tribute Band

Bernie Senensky has been featured internationally in many great jazz festivals, and he is recognized and respected as one of the foremost jazz accompanists in the world.
Bernie began sitting in with local groups, which included guitarist Lenny Breau and bassist Dave Young, eventually bringing his promising jazz talents to the jazz scene in Edmonton. In the fertile jazz mecca of Toronto, he quickly established himself as an accompanist, playing for and with a great variety of visiting musicians. Bernie was the pianist in the famous Galaxy Trio with Lenny Solomon and Moshe Hammer, a trio which was extremely popular with Orangeville audiences.
